Natural Velocity x Rocket Academy Easter Holiday Program | Ages 9-12

Code an F1 car. Build a Mars helicopter. Program a Space Rover. The Natural Velocity x Rocket Academy Easter Holiday Program teaches advanced robotics for ages 9–12 at Docklands. Ready for the challenge?

Description

Built for kids who are ready to level up.

This Easter holiday program challenges ages 9–12 to design, construct, and code advanced robotic machines using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime. From racing F1 cars to piloting Mars helicopters, every project combines real engineering principles with block-based programming. This isn't just building — it's building things that think, move, and respond. Perfect for kids who want more than screen time these holidays.

Course Topics

Master Logic and Control: Build confidence with loops, sensors, and conditional statements using SPIKE™ Prime coding blocks.

Construct Advanced Machines: Engineer complex, multi-functional machines and understand how gears and linkages work.

Precision Programming Missions: Program robots to execute specific tasks requiring measurement, calibration, and iterative refinement.

Tackle Engineering Challenges: Apply advanced engineering principles to design solutions for complex building and automation challenges.

Design Showcase: Present and share their working robotic designs and explain the code powering their machines.

Who Can Enrol

Senior primary students (ages 9-12) ready to design, code, and innovate. Tackle real-world city challenges with LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime and next-level coding.

No experience required! Our instructors guide every step, so kids of all experience levels can jump right in and start coding and building.

Hands-on play meets guided storytelling in this fun-filled intro to building, thinking, and problem-solving.

Why You Should Enrol

  • Programming skills: The students will develop essential coding skills by programming robots to solve engaging, real-world challenges.

  • Creative problem-solving: Challenges will enhance their ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.

  • Team collaboration: Students will strengthen teamwork and communication as they work together to build and refine their robotic designs.

  • Engineering design principles: They'll apply engineering principles to construct, test, and evaluate robotics solutions.

Booking Information

This program can be booked as a 1-day or 2-day full program.

Both days have different fun builds:

On Thursday, the kids get to build a rhino, a bull, an F1 car, and a break dancer.

On Friday, they build a Mars helicopter, an excavator, a space rover and a debugger.

Those following the 2-day program can deepen their learning and increase the complexity of their builds on the second day.
